Understanding Study Status in UserTest Pro

A study moves through clear stages so teams always know what is editable, what is live, and what is complete.

• Draft — The study is still being built. Questions, screeners, quotas, and settings can be changed freely.
• Published — The study configuration has been saved and is ready to be used. Publishing does not automatically start participant flow.
• Launched — Recruitment is now active and participants can enter the study.
• Inactive — Recruitment is temporarily stopped. No new participants can begin until the study is resumed.
• Closed — The study has ended. Responses remain available for analysis and export.
